Does fresh-air spray really work?

When it comes to freshness around the home, most of us are obsessed. We all want the perfect houses that we can ultimately be proud of, but sometimes this is not as easy as it seems. Giving the home a boost of freshness is easy to do with products such as fresh-air spray (Raumduft) coming in handy. There are however some other great methods on how to keep the home clean and fresh without having to go to a great deal of expense. If you are wanting your house to smell good and look clean, there here are a few tips on how to keep those guests impressed:

• Clear all of the appliances from off the side, have a minimalist look to the kitchen, this will give the feel of space and cleanliness.
• Bleach down all of the sides and sink before guests arrive, clearing any previously cleaned pots.
• If you are needed to get rid of yesterdays cooking fumes, especially if you have eaten something like fish, then you might want to try mixing 2 tablespoons of white vinegar in a saucepan along with a cup of water and boil this for around 10 minutes, this will neutralise any niffs that are left in the air from the night before.
• We all know that our bins get pretty smelly, well a good way of keeping these odours at bay, is to thoroughly wash out the bin every time you change the bin bag, by using either bleach or a detergent you will be keeping the smells away for longer.
• Wipe a few drops of your favourite oil on the light bulb, this way every time the light is switched on you will get a lovely whiff of freshness from the bulb.
• Place bowls of pot pouri throughout the house, and use scented candles for a cosy effect.
